Launch Leadership Foundation Names Arneal as Executive Director

LINCOLN — The Launch Leadership Foundation announces the hiring of its first full-time employee, Lincoln Arneal, to serve as the organization’s Executive Director. Arneal started the position on Jan. 1.

The Foundation provides financial support for the Launch Leadership Volunteer Staff and its quest to offer the best leadership programs and services to high school and middle school students. The full-time Executive Director will allow Launch to expand its work in the community by building relationships, developing funds to underwrite scholarships and providing more leadership development opportunities for students.

The Launch Volunteer Staff operates leadership development services, which are highlighted by a five-day Summer Leadership Workshop on Wayne State College’s campus. During Workshop, students learn leadership concepts through experiential activities that focus on topics such as communication, team building, self management and values awareness.

In addition to Workshop, Launch offers many year-round services including One-Day Workshops, Convention Services and Leadership Retreats, which are focused on one student population or one leadership topic. Launch worked with more than 1,400 students last year with its year-round services and hosted 431 at Workshop this past summer.

Arneal was named the interim Executive Director of the Foundation in May, and previously served as the Executive Director of the Launch Leadership Volunteer Staff as well as the Curriculum Director and Volunteer Director. In addition to his experience with Launch, Arneal worked for Nonprofit Hub the past two years, writing educational articles and courses about fundraising, grantwriting and nonprofit operations.
